Emergency Broadband Benefit from the FCC

The Emergency Broadband Benefit is a program from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that will help eligible families and households afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program provides a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. There is also an opportunity for a one-time discount toward the of purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from a participating broadband provider.

Florida Medicaid Coverage Extended

The State of Florida is taking steps to make sure that people on Medicaid keep benefits during the COVID-19 state of emergency. Florida Medicaid coverage has been extended. No Medicaid recipient will lose their eligibility during the state of emergency. Coverage will continue until the end of the state of emergency.
